I feel really good about my choice to try to eat vegan; it’s good for my waistline, the environment, animals…and my pocketbook!

I recognize that veganism is not the right choice for everybody, but I do know a lot of people who are seeking more plant-based nourishment.  I hope that this blog will be enjoyed by herbivores and omnivores alike.  I also hope to inspire myself to save more money and to demonstrate that it does not have to be expensive to eat healthy.  In fact, it can be quite the opposite.

I have recently decided to re-incorporate a small amount of eggs, seafood, and even a little bit of meat for health reasons (low iron stores despite years of supplements) and happiness (majorly starting craving a BLT after 5 years of no meat).  I still think that a mostly plant-based diet is the best way to eat, but to quote Julia Child: “Everything in moderation…including moderation.”
